Course cost $350 (***$100 non-refundable deposit required, $250 CASH due at check-in***) This is for Original Application ONLY.  

Wear and Carry Permit training features a total of 16 hours of instruction (over a 2 consecutive day period) for an original application. The training will include instruction on state firearm laws, home firearm safety, handgun mechanisms and operation, and a component that requires the applicant to demonstrate gun safety and proficiency with a minimum score of 70% accuracy.

Maryland has strict guidelines for qualifying for your Wear and Carry Permit, but you may be eligible.

Are you a business owner that makes regular deposits? Are you a licensed realtor? Does your employer desire you to be armed for security reasons?   Do you have an active Top Secret security clearance issued by the Department of Defense? Is there a documented threat against you? Were you a police officer in the State of Maryland or a Federal Agent assigned to Maryland with at least 10 years of service and still in good standing with your department? Are you serving on a security team for a house of worship in which the minister is requesting security team members to be armed? (Occupational Risk) Do you work in a profession that could jeopardize your personal safety and security (Correctional Officers, Judges, State’s Attorney, Assistant State’s Attorney, and Elected Officials)?

Threats are common in these professions, reporting and documentation will assist in your application.
